Making a little corner for us to support whoever is dealing with grant/paper/new job/promotion/application or any type of rejection after having put in soooooooooo many hours, blood, sweat, and tears. Or simply just to vent, rejections never get easier…
I get the notice and go over the feedback quietly. I try to look professional and not lose it

But deep down, I am hanging by a thread as is and this feels like the tipping point. I just wanna scream

I’m a big rock & metal music fan, and honestly I can’t tell you how much metal soothes me, screaming along really help for me. What are your tips? Or if you wanna just join in the complaining train, hop on! You’re not alone and not the first/last person to deal with rejection!!!

This is so much the need of the hour!
I have kinda gotten used to rejections. But yes I feel feedback should always be given while rejecting. Often when someone is rejected without feedback and just a copy paste format, “We regret to inform you that……” it really feels hard and disheartening. There is so much need of support groups to deal with the mental trauma from academic rejections.
For me I sometimes turn to spirituality, meditation and self introspection. But yes the loss of feedback really feels like a disconnect as in the core our nervous system is so much dependent on feedback. And yes at times self doubt keeps killing me from within. Am I doing the right thing? Wont I be rejected again?
