# Welcome to the Data Community of Practice! 👋

Welcome to the MJFF Data Community of Practice (DCoP)! The DCoP is intended to support conversations about how to access, use, and create persistent documentation about existing Parkinson’s disease datasets. Here are a few suggestions as you get started in the community:

- Introduce yourself by adding your picture and information about yourself and your interests to [your profile](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/my/preferences/account).

- You can also say hello to the rest of the forum by creating a post in the [Introduction](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/c/introductions/9) category. Head over there or to the [Contributor Directory](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/u?order=topic_count) to learn about other users and connect.

- Ask a question or share a resource by clicking the orange “+New Topic” on the homepage. Or respond to someone else’s post by [browsing discussions](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/top) or using the ❤ button to show your appreciation or interest.

- Read the [Community Participation Guidelines](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/faq) to learn more about how to participate in this community, as well as how to report undesirable behavior.

- If you have questions about how to get started in Discourse, feel free to ask a question in [Technical Questions](https://rcop.michaeljfox.org/c/technical-questions/10) or [contact the admins](http://rcop.michaeljfox.org/about).
