Neurologist/ movement disorders specialist and PhD student at the Institute of Neurogenetics and University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein in Luebeck, Germany focusing on clinical care and research. I studied medicine at the University Witten/Herdecke (Germany), University Miguel Hernandez of Elche (Alicante, Spain), Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, USA), and the University Catolica of Chile (Santiago, Chile). I have participated in multicenter dystonia and Parkinson’s disease studies, evaluating data on genotype-phenotype relations and quality of life, among other outcomes. Furthermore, I have conducted electrophysiological studies on endophenotypes in dystonia patients. My goal is to motivate researchers worldwide to combine their data into large standardized data sets in order to generate meaningful results to improve therapy for patients with movement disorders in the future.
