Hi all,

I wanted to share a training opportunity that I am currently involved in. The program is called the AIM-AHEAD and NCATS training program. This program provides training regarding artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) and their application to large datasets. The program is part of the AIM-AHEAD consortium, which focuses on enhancing “the participation and representation of researchers and communities currently underrepresented in the development of AI/ML models and to improve the capabilities of this emerging technology, beginning with electronic health records (EHR) and extending to other diverse data to address health disparities and inequities.” You can learn more about the consortium here. Question for the community: Are you aware of similar opportunities in your region? Or trainings that are available internationally?

MJFF provides funding and training worlwide through a series of initiatives, like Edmond J Safra Movement’s Disorders Fellowship Programs and the projects they fund through grants. GP2 provides an excellent learning platform freely and also funds masters and PhD programs internationally. Regarding training specifically for machine learning outside the US or internationally, I don’t know of any specific opportunity
