Hi @DCoP_Innovators,
I am reaching out to see if there is anyone who has experience and background in ex vivo MRI? I am currently preparing an R01 that is proposing to do ex vivo FLAIR MRI in the setting of chronic traumatic encephalopathy. We have some experience but looking for more experts who might be able to advise on the project. Please reach out if you are interested and I can share more details! Thank you.

@AmgadDroby or @bmarebwa wondering if either of you have thoughts on colleagues who might fit this bill?
Hi @malosco,
Ex vivo brain imaging necessitates adjustments to sequence parameters due to changes in tissue relaxation times following death, as well as the effects of temperature and the fixation medium. While my experience with postmortem imaging is limited (see: A human post-mortem brain model for the standardization of multi-centre MRI studies - ScienceDirect), @LauraJonkman from Amsterdam University may be better positioned to address your question. She has substantial expertise in postmortem imaging, both ex vivo and in situ, and could provide more detailed guidance.
Hope that helps!
