Hi everyone, I am Luc Evers from Radboud University Medical Center (the Netherlands)

Hi everyone, I’m a senior researcher from the Radboudumc Center of Expertise for Parkinson & Movement Disorders (the Netherlands). I’m passionate about combining technical and clinical science, and I lead a research lab focused on the development of AI-based remote monitoring tools for Parkinson’s disease. Using wearable sensors:watch: and automated video analysis :mobile_phone:, we aim to better understand how parkinson symptoms evolve in the patients’ daily lives.

I am excited to join this community to exchange ideas and resources to further advance our research. Integrating objective, real-life monitoring into studies can generate valuable insights, but getting started can be challenging. Which device to select? How to integrate it into your study design? How to extract reliable insights from large volumes of high-frequency data? As part of the Data Modality & Methodology Task Force, I’ll regularly share posts on these and related topics - hopefully offering some practical guidance in navigating the rapidly evolving remote monitoring landscape :globe_showing_europe_africa:

Looking forward to connect!

Hi @luc_evers, great to have you join us! Looking forward to hearing your perspectives on and experiences with wearables, and how developments in this space could potentitally lead to more sophisticated symptom tracking and improved insight into the patient experience.

We have quite a few community members who work with or are interested in wearables data/technology, and your voice is a welcome addition!
