Research Profile

My research career is dedicated to deciphering the multi-tiered molecular mechanisms driving neurodegeneration, with a primary focus on Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and related synucleinopathies.

Spanning over a decade of rigorous academic pursuit, my investigative journey has evolved from evaluating structural biomarkers—such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics—to mapping intricate intracellular cascades, including microglial-driven neuroinflammation, proteasomal failure, and mitochondrial bioenergetic collapse.

By bridging fundamental neuroanatomy with translational frontiers, my current work focuses on systemic pathological pathways (such as the gut-brain axis), epigenetic modifications, and the deployment of AI-assisted biomarker integration to democratize diagnostic accuracy in resource-limited settings.

That’s great to know

Excellent work you are doing

Welcome and enjoy the community

Thank you very much.
Regards,
Benjamin.

Welcome aboard! Do you use any existing datasets or coding platforms???

I am registered with GP2 global parkinson’s genetic program, and I could request for genetics datasets

Got it, we have a nice group of GP2 peeps here so I’m sure you already know everyone and always exciting to see more GP2ers!

I hadn’t reunited with anyone since I got here though. I hope they reach out.

whaaaat, calling out the GP2ers @Vidash @psaffie @hirotaka @yasser.mecheri to say hiii! there’s definitely a good GP2 presence here

Great! I will be happy to see them again after Casablanca, Morocco, 2024.

Hi Benjamin, nice work and progress! Very happy to meet up again

Yes sir. I remembered your great presentation in Morocco.

Hey

We are here

Hi @Benjamin_Adebisi , it would be great to have you involved with GP2

Welcome @Benjamin_Adebisi. The GP2 community here is very welcoming and I definitely trust that my bosses @Vidash @yasser.mecheri @kathrynstep and I will ease you into everything. Please do feel free to reach out as well if you have any concerns.
