Hi all! With October just around the corner we wanted to highlight the great conversations that have taken place on Discourse this month.
As a reminder, we will write a summary round-up of posts at the end of each month. As always, thanks to all who have contributed!
Upcoming DCoP events
- We look forward to seeing you all on Friday, 20 October at 2 pm UTC for our monthly meeting.
- Keep your eyes out for more information about a task force oriented towards creating a data wrangling guide, which has emerged from our September DCI meeting.
Ongoing conversations

- @Johanna.junker brought up the idea of creating a fast tracked route for publications. She would like to hear other DCoP member’s thoughts on the topic.
- @Rooparajan Asked if anyone knows of resources regarding reclassification of Variants of Undetermined Significance (VUS). Let her know if you are aware of any resources in this space.
Notable Topics
- @PaulaRP posted about a podcast that she listened to about Chromosome X associated studies. She is curious whether anyone has done any research or is thinking about including the X Chromosome in genetic studies.
- @Vdardov held an AMP-PD Target Explorer demo with some of her colleagues from Technome. We will post the recording and some links from the presentation if you are interested in learning about the tool.

Opportunities
- @Gdp22 asked if anyone in the DCoP or their connections had experience with LEAD-DBS as he’s looking for potential collaborators on a manuscript. @Danieltds responded with a few potential leads. Reply to the topic if you/your peers have relevant expertise.
Social
- @Vdardov mentioned that she’s considering going to the Society for Neuroscience’s annual 2023 meeting. Let us know if you’re planning to go – it would be great if some DCoP members were able to meet up!
