Not an addition, but an endorsement of: “Finally, do not overload the visual. Make the points few and clear.” The number of times I’ve seen entire posters copy-pasted on slides or slides with walls of texts… please stop

I try to apply (sometimes successfully, sometimes not) the same approach to text on slides as to emails to senior collaborators: if they have to scroll past what first appears when they open the email on their phone you have written too much.
i really like how that point also emphasizes that everyone has a different style. some people just cant tell certain jokes and when they try, it sounds creepy for instance… it takes a while to figure out your style and that’s why you just sign up for everything to get that practice out of the way and find your style!
