Dear Research Community,
Are you interested in open science but are unsure of how to get started? Does your research grant require you to adhere to open science principles? If so, we hope you’ll join us on Monday, August 11th, 2:00pm - 3:00pm (EDT) for our next community webinar! We’ll hear from two of our members, Dr. Matt Kmiecik (@mattk) and Dr. Hirotaka Iwaki (@hirotaka) as they present their Open Science Guide.
An output of the Data Modality and Methodology Task Force*, the Open Science Guide is meant to serve as a primer on open science principles for Parkinson’s disease researchers across all levels of expertise. Additionally, the guide contains resources and examples to facilitate open and reproducible science, particularly in the context of data science projects.
If you are interested in attending, please reply to this post and we will add you to the calendar invite. If you have other colleagues who are not currently members of this community, please feel free to forward them this post or send their contact information to us (researchcommunity@michaeljfox.org).
Do you have ideas and/or suggestions for other webinar topics you would like to see? Let us know by leaving your thoughts in this thread: Seeking Webinar Ideas and Requests from the Community.
We hope you join us!
*The Data Modality and Methodology Task Force is one of four groups working to provide valuable resources for the PD research community. If you would like to join this or other task forces, check out the Task Forces page and indicate your interest in the relevant thread!
