Coming Soon: Community AMAs (Ask Me Anythings) with Research Experts!

Hi everyone! Starting next week, we will begin hosting Ask Me Anythings (AMAs) as a new feature of our community of practice. AMAs can be a great way to connect with domain experts, receive answers to questions of interest that can help you now, and enable future researchers to benefit from newly discoverable knowledge on-platform.

Over the course of October and November, we will be hosting two AMAs. The first, conducted via a Discourse thread, will begin soliciting questions this week before @malosco will provide answers next week. The topic for this AMA will be: The application of neuropsychology to answer questions surrounding cognitive decline in the setting of neurodegenerative diseases. Watch out for the call to submit your questions in the next couple of days!

The second AMA will be hosted by @psaffie in November (stay tuned for that announcement). We are considering a real-time, video-based Q&A where you can submit questions ahead of time or on the call, which Paula will answer, and then a recorded video will be made available for future reference or colleagues unable to attend at that time.

For both, we’d love to hear questions from community members. Beyond this, we would love to hear what you think about these formats – do you prefer one vs. the other or think a different approach would be more useful to you? Have a topic you’d like to see answered or want to host an AMA yourself? Let us know, we’re eager to hear from you!

More to come, let us know if you have any thoughts in the thread below.
