Hiya everyone, I recently wrapped up a pilot remote survey study on environmental exposures and medical history for Lewy body dementia to look into sex differences for risk factors. People filled out the survey anonymously and no identifiable info was collected. As I changed institutes right after the data collection was done, I had to tackle the data transfer agreement portions and since the data is all deidentified as is, they allowed me to openly share the data (yay!!). So I’m looking into creating the repository with the key as well to share the data. It’s a pilot study and not a ton of data so everything’s in a good ole’ excel spreadsheet right now. I had brought this up and heard some advice from @jgottesman & @ehutchins wanted to throw the topic in the platform too so if someone’s sharing data for the first time like me has an idea about how to proceed.

Hi @ecebayram,
I would recommend checking out Open Science Framework for hosting data alongside documentation/wiki for sharing purposes. There are also other plenty of good options to choose from; a list is available on the Open Science Guide for Parkinson’s Research.
Best of luck!
