Hi! Has anyone completed the bioinformatics training course through GP2? What did you think of it?

I have not but I think @paularp or @psaffie may have completed this course?

Hi, Gian!
Yes!
I have done modules from the Beginner and the Intermediate course.

I think both courses are well structured and very informative but for me, it has been more useful watching and practicing modules as I need them.

Here’s what it is in each:

Beginner
Module I: Genotyping Quality Control
Module II: Imputation
Module III: Genome-Wide Association Studies for Binary and Quantitative Traits
Module IV: Polygenic Risk Score in Parkinson’s Disease
Module V: Variant Prioritization using Whole Exome/Genome Sequencing
Module VI: Application of Network Analyses to Translational Genetics

Intermediate
Module I: Genome-Wide Association Studies on Parkinson’s disease progression
Module II: Investigating the cumulative effect of genetic variation on Parkinson’s disease
Module III: Exploring copy number variation and runs of homozygosity from genotyping data
Module IV: Post - Genome-Wide Association Studies on Parkinson’s disease risk I
Module V: Post - Genome-Wide Association Studies on Parkinson’s disease risk II

It is worth mentioning that if you want to follow the practical sections, the Beginner course is mostly done using your own system (Google collab, visual studio, R studio, etc), while Intermediate’s practicals are on Terra.

Happy to further discuss it!
