Hi, Jodie from London here

Hello, I’m Jodie Forbes, based in London, UK, but unaffiliated.

I’m a computer science/data person by background but got diagnosed with PD seven years ago. Two years ago I semi-retired from a 30 year corporate career to see how I could contribute to PD research. I did an MSc in Neuroscience at King’s College London and now work freelance for organisations like MJFF in the US and Cure Parkinson’s in the UK mostly doing data science type work, though I’m also a patient representative on various initiatives like ACT-PD. I also do a YouTube channel for people affected by PD.

I’m pretty familiar with PPMI data (I wrote the PPMI data user guide for MJFF) so might be able to help with questions on that.

Looking forward to working with this group.

Hi, Jodie! It was great to meet you yesterday.

As many others in the DCoP… I’ve read and learned a great deal from the PPMI data user guide.

We’re so glad to have you the community! Please reach out with any question or if there are discussions you’d be interested in starting in the DCoP.

Hi Jodie!

So glad to have you join the community! As someone that worked extensively with PPMI data, I can attest that the PPMI data user guide is very detailed and extremely helpful.

I think your perspective and expertise will be a great addition. Welcome!

Hello Jodie and be welcome!

Wow, so you are the big brain behind PPMI’s excellent user guide? It is an honour to meet you! Also, as someone who’s a bit into social media and patient education, I loved your Youtube channel! I wish nothing but the best for you and thanks for your contributions!
