Hi, I'm Gian Pal from Rutgers University!

I am a board-certified neurologist, movement disorders specialist, and clinician-scientist focused on Parkinson’s disease. I received his MD from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed residency in neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center, and received my MS in clinical research from Rush University Medical College where I also completed his fellowship training in movement disorders.

After 6 years as a faculty member at Rush with a specific focus on deep brain stimulation (DBS), I joined the faculty at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. My research interests include deep brain stimulation cognitive outcomes, Parkinson’s disease genetics, and studying the role of the gut microbiome in Parkinson’s disease.

I am excited to be part of the DCoP community and looking forward to growing my network of collaborators!
