Are you planning on attending any conferences or other events coming up? We know the MDS conference is in August, and that many of you plan to be there. Comment below with any events that you’re planning on going to, are interested in, or have come across – it may be a great opportunity for some of you to meet up!
Hello! Me and some people from my research group (including @psaffie) will be attending MDS! This will be my first MDS congress and I’m excited to meet a lot of people in this field! Besides this event, I haven’t planned anything else yet.
Thanks, @danieltds! I hope you and Paula learn a lot at the conference – feel free to share back knowledge gained on Discourse!
I was looking at the MDS website and it looks like there are several networking events like this one for young delegates. We were thinking it might be nice for any of the DCIs who are going to MDS to try to connect at one of these networking events. Feel free to use this Topic or the DCI Resources and Coordination Category to organize a meet-up!
Hi! I will be at the MDS Congress too. Thanks @maya.sanghvi for highlighting the YMG events. As Co-Chair of the MDS Young Members group, along with the Chair Michele Matarazzo, I would love to see you at the YMG events:
Young Members Group Pavilion Session, Aug29 2.30pm
Young Delegates Networking Event, Aug 29, 7pm
Young Members Group Business Meeting, Aug 30, 2.30pm
Hi
I will be at the GP2 Annual meeting that predeces the MDS Congress but will have to return back to Ghana soon after so will miss MDS Congress this year
Dear all,
I will also be attending the GP2 Annual Meeting on August 24&25th in Copenhagen (@Vida: I look forward to meeting you). Unfortunately, I have to leave after the GP2 Meeting due to scheduling conflicts. I would have been very happy to meet some of you in person. Hopefully it will work out next year.
Yay! I see a lot of people going to AIM GP2 and MDS this year, I would love to connect there! (I am attending both). My last one this year will be the LARGE-PD meeting in Cali.
Absolutely!!! I will be traveling with my two young children, so I need to be back around 7 pm. I hope this is ok for you. Here is my phone number: [redacted] Maybe we can connect via WhatsApp - it’s easier to communicate that way. So feel free to send me a message so we have each other’s numbers.
I know SFN is a few months away, but anyone planning to go to SFN? There is a chance I might go and if other data community innovators plan to attend, that will be more reason for me to make it happen!
Do you mean the The Society for Neuroscience in Washington?
I didn´t know that existed, by I´ll be in Bethesda from november to january, so I could go.
Hi everyone! I wanted to share an event that may be of interest to some folks here. CSCCE is hosting a Tools Trial on Wednesday, 11 October at 10AM ET / 2PM UTC focused on how to use GitHub and Bitergia to collaborate and collect analytics. Sanket Verma will share how GitHub is used to manage Zarr’s technical documentation. Julia Koehler Leman will share how GitHub Teams is used to manage access to Rosetta’s GitHub repositories. Paul Nagy and Georg Link will demonstrate how Bitergia can be used to track customizable metrics to assess the health of open-source projects, using OHDSI as an example.
Rosetta Commons, in particular, has several folks working on Parkinson’s data, so we thought it may be relevant! The other speakers will be talking about tools for biomedical research, as well.
